Transitional Planning

Manus Academy offers an introduction to transitional planning for interested families and students from ninth through twelfth grade. The introduction for students can include:

• taking various formal and informal assessments to measure one’s self-awareness, talents, interests, abilities and liabilities
  

• learning about the essential skills everyone needs to fully succeed in life
  

• researching colleges, careers and vocational programs

• learning to write resumes and interview for jobs

For the students’ parents, we provide information about the different resources in Charlotte that offer assessments, college counseling, transitional programs and job training. Families interested in transitional planning are invited to speak with our head of school or head of instruction about this service.
